  • Rest of the years excitements.... why so few?

This hoilday's been pretty crap, not doin that much tbh. Well, I dunno it was alright but not THAT much excitement. SOOOOOOO despite this being a bit of a critical year school wise, i think im gonna try and stuff as much excitement as possible without my parents disowning me...or just refuseing to drive me (yup i still rely on them for being ferryed about).

    Okay, so far I've got.

31st August (e.g THIS Sunday coming): i think i might go to the UMBRELLA fest with some friends (cause how kl does THAT sound!?)

18th September: Preordered copy of 'The Mighty Book Of Boosh' arrives from Amazon :D

17th October: Off to see Russell Howard (Hilarious comedian from 'Mock The Week', remind me a little of bugs bunny) at the Derngate.

1st November: ARGH! BOOSH BOOK SIGNING!!! In birmingham :D

7th November: BOOSH LIVE! (whoa two live boosh sighting in the space of six days? happiness overload)

Well thats my plan so far, hopefully it will include some more dates of excitement, or the rest of the year will be a bit dull...Ill see what comes up :D)

  • FREDs new series had started!!

Series two of FRED had started!! whooo! *punches the air, then looks around embarrassed*

For thoses who dont know fred, hes 'a six year old' with a squeaky voice and slight overexcitement and anger issue. Hes not actually six, its done by a guy called Lucas whose about 15/16 I'd imagine. Hmm im not explaining this very well. Ill let FRED, explain for himself:

Thats my favourite episode. Now you love him, go subscribe!

i REALLY want a FRED shirt...how cool would that be?

Yeah so THAT was from his first seriesy thing and the first episode of his second is just out:

NEW FRED SHIRT! Hmm i think i liked the blue one better though.

I love FREDs stuff its hilarious, Lucas is now like a little celebrity on America and has been on TV and stuff, but in his normal voice, which scared me a little for some reason. I prefer FREDs.Not that hes got a bad normal voice, its just different (obviously :P). Lucas...you rock.

  • Our thoughts of many people

This idea is in fact taken from someones elses blog :S but i fought i would steal it cause its such a good idea! Take it as a compliment!

Basically each of the lines below is in reference to a particular person and its by my AND my good friend Natalie and so makes it more interesting. Also there maybe be two different opinions of mutal friends.

Ok here goes, nats thoughts are in bold, and the order is COMPLETELY random.

You are awesome, I've never met such a headstrong person since you, and doubt i ever will. Sometimes i see you still in the street and you remark how much ive grown. You helped. Thanks for the Coffee.

I don't understand you, one day you're such a drama queen.. the next you're really genuine. if you acted the latter more often, you wouldn't have to be so melodramatic for attention.

It's clear we've moved on and we weren't meant to be friends.. so treasure the memories, please, but don't linger on it, it will never be the same.

You've got good music taste and are pretty fun, though you were shy when i met you. We need to hang out again, and think of primary school days.

As soon as i can drive, i will go to the mountains to see you, i miss our talks over the fence, i miss your hyper brother and i miss you being a best friend

Wow, u ACTUALLY broke my heart, i didnt even know it could be done, and i STILL miss you even though we havent spoken in years. I was soo scared but u were there and i waited till u came back, but then you left again and you've been gone since.

I wish i spent more time with you now like i did before

i hate the way you acted, the things you said, the things you did.. i regret being sucked into your manipulative game.

    Your hyperness makes me happy.

Dude, you have always been there, through everything. The day i met you we were both confused and alone in a new school, we got in trouble together but it worked out. I love you sooooo much, i cry when you do. Like an older AND younger brother. I miss you and your couch.

We all know you can dance, sing, act, draw, do sports and get As in everything, but can you be a friend without being fickle?

We grew up together and played like sisters, thorughout all the fights and tantrums we still wanna see each other. All the games we played, invented, we still do. Cause its fun. Love you loads and loads, ur more than family...ur a best friend

Thank you for being there through everything, even though your family STILL scares me.

I don't know what i'd do without you there to make me smile everyday

Stop worrying about the past and what people think, it only makes situations harder.

You make me laugh so hard EVERYTHING else dissappears, we get caught up in each other heads when were together and create a new world. So what? It's better than this one. Ive never been with you for a day without smiling. You rock.

    Bite me baby.

Ive know you for so long, but we still seek each other out. I worry though. A lot. WHen we grow apart, take care of yourself. 'You are what you are and you are beautiful'

I moan at you.. a lot.. too much.. i don't mean it, i still you, you haven't been replaced

i don't think i know you as well as i want to, or should do

  • Me and Natalies off-topic one liners...

I wasted today, a possible day of coursework and other delights to shimmy on off to my best friend Natalie's house in Northampton.
Twas fun. me and Nat can kinda tap into a wierd side of each others minds when stuffed together, alone in her room, creating many converations of absurdity.
We,today, realised that to takes line of conversations we are having out of context would make people near us run.away.fast. Some examples take place below, enjoy :D

Natalie: My underwear is all hot! (After leaving her laptop on top of her underwear drawer)

Me: I want to punch you in the head (after nat puts a cushion on her head that i wanna punch off)

Me: Get off my udders! (after...cant actually explain this much...it involves a space hopper)

Me: I want whiskers! (face painting!)

Nat: Can i draw on your face?

Then when we were in the car:
(Talking about the bit In The Mighty Boosh series 1 right before Howard sings 'freak')
Me:yeah its just like in series one the boosh where...
    *Natalie makes flashing gesture*
Me: See why i didnt do that?

And a few from my sister thrown in for good measure...

Me: Yeah she Travelled all this way to see him.
Bex: Really? What? from like a country?

(Her singing a lil song while tidying)
Bex: Spudulica, her head is triangular...

Aww bless, quotes there from my Friend nat nearing 16 and my delightful sister Rebecca whose 24...oh dear

some of these wernt one liners but OH WELL!

I am SO excited...and slighty nervous, i get star struck easily and words fall out my head
I got my science GCSE results back yesterdayeth, my parents were pretttttty happy (:D) so i quickly moved on to the topic of boosh signings, the dates of which i had just got.

'Oh, hey parents...I got my science results back'
    'hmm?'
'I GOT MY SCIENCE RESULT BACK...U KNOW GSCES..jeeze'
    'Oh! wow lets see'
    'uh...ok'
'OH! WELL DONE!! LOOK AT THAT! ARE YOU PLEASED?'
    'uh, yeah, sure'
    'YOU SHOULD BE!'
    'ok i am, AND excited'
    'about wht?'
    'Boosh signing dates'
    'oh, have u got them?'
    *happily* 'yup'

I had already briefed them on the signings cause i guessed they would happen and now am SOOO glad they have! Im hoping to go to the Birmingham one in November with a couple of friendys, I live pretty far from London and stuff and therefore miss out on a lot of boosh, and russell brand type thingys, ie the goth detectives gig etc, so im begging to go to this one!

Must go now and print out the dates to give to my parents and beg them to take me as i shall be doing for quite a while...till i can drive, hmm 2-3 years. I shall continue to pay them in adequate grades! I like this system. bye! xx

  • BOOSH BOOK! (And a minor rant about fangirls)

Who else is excited about the boosh book?

    booosh book

I can't wait, it looks amazing! The cover is designed by Noel but the rest of it is apprently designed by Dave brown (Who plays Naboos familier, the ape, Bollo for those who don;t know...and if you don't...you should!)who also designed the cover of The mighty Boosh live DVD.

    boosh book page

The new boosh book is said to include; ' Vince's Jungle Story, Howard Moon's Trumpet Full of Memories, Old Gregg's Watercolours, a pictorial guide to Bob Fossil's dance routines, crimp lyrics and much, much more.'

    Source: http://themightybooshsite.trinitystreetdirect.com/news.aspx?id=58

Whooo! It promises to be published on the 18th of september 2008...a month and six days!
It can be preordered on Amazon though and I think you get some money off. Or just go buy it when it comes out so the boosh get ALL the money they deserve...saying that i HAVE preordered it...i could'nt help myself. i don't care, im an impatiant person ok?

Well i was thinking since the book was announced, that it probably mean more signings! Posibly still in HMV, they sell a small selection of books and stuff too right? I'm so excited, I hope they do 'casue i missed the last signings of their DVD and REALLY want to go. They SHOULD do signings right? if i hear news on any confirmation or dates etc i'll post them here, k? (who am I asking?) sigh. But THEN i thought, well if they do hold signings, you will probably have to buy the books there right? I'm pretty sure thats what happened with Russell brands 'My Booky wook' signing, AND i've already preordered it, so i'll have two...with isnt so bad. i guess ill just keep the signed one in really good condition.

I love things that are signed by people i like, it just makes that item a bit more special dont you think? I also get quite star struck easily, which might maybe it hard to go and meet them at the signings 'cause ill get shy and just ramble on a bit. I don't like REALLY fan girly people who like scream 'omg NOEL NOOOOEL!! LOOKS HES THERE!!! OMG I WANT TO TOUCH HIS ARM!! DId HE JUST LOOK AT ME?!?!!?! I THINK HE JSUT LOOKED AT ME!!!!! It makes me want to kill them. Sure in my head I would be like whoa im meeting the boosh right now! BUt only cause i respect them so much. Ok i guess i MIGHT get a little fangirly if say i got hugged, it would make me a bit weak at the knees. but at leats CONTROL it when they're out in Tesco or whatever. Its mostly Noel obviously who gets the most fangirl attention, it must make him uncomfortable sometimes. I wouldnt want to crowd him and shout so i DEAFEN him.
Besides, im a Julian Barratt girl myself.

Ok enough ranting, basically get the book. The book looks awesome ok? good.
There, some free publicity for the boosh, they havent actually publicised it that much, way less than their movie, well i guess the movie is a LOT bigger. Not understating books or anything, books are good, especially BOOSH books and BOOKY WOOKs.

    :D xx

  • AMEF

Yesterday me and my friend Natalie went to the 'Art Meets Environment Music Festival' near Corby...or maybe it was IN corby...I can't remember. I got drove there and my geography's pretty bad :D. Okay, so, the days events...it was from 10 AM till 11 PM, but we didnt go for ALL of it.

    This was the line up:
    Rereo Spankees
    Sam Isaac
    Tom Mansi
    Peggy Sue
    Go:Audio
    Sukie
    Millers hag
    Yeltsin
    Illigitimate Sons of the King
    My First Radio
    Sleepyhead
    Casio Kid
    My first tooth
    Sympathy State
    The Shims
    The 69s
    Rachel Furner
    New Groove Formation
    Mesh 29
    Made from Clouds
    Kelli Blanchett
    The Jacks
    Richard Berry
    The Pepper Box
    Harvey Steals Band

I think they all showed up, though i cant be sure.

We arrived there at around half 12, and just kind of wandered around a bit before decided we were hungry and buying chips (which we then threw away). There were quite a few stalls as well, like a clothes bazzaar thing and a 'make your own eco bag' stall and LOADS of food and stuff and even a bar for over 18s.

The THREE main bands I wanted to see were: Sukie, Casiokid and Go:Audio, but they were on later so we headed on over tooooo make our own eco bags! whoooooo!
We both wanted something booshy to write on them, I decided on a (stupidly fangirlish but shut up, i had mental block) 'I <3 Barratt' and then Natalie spent AN hour deciding before settling on 'I <3 Vince Noir'. We basically had to cut outletter to make and transfer and then paint over it onto a bag (though I got two 'cause my transfer was really small) and it was free!

    Nats transfer

After that we pretty much wandered around a bit and stopped to watch a newly added band called 'The Retro Spankees', who were pretty good. though at one point they start laughing manically during their song which resulted in me and Nat pissing our selves with laughter, while the rest of the crowd nodded along straightfaced. They were good though.

    The Retro Spankees (stage 2)

We soon headed on over to the clothes tent which was full of many bright items of clothing and glowsticks and on a lil table...BOOSH DOLLS! We were walking to the end of the tent when a flash of red caught my eye, i turned to see the bright red trousers of a handmade hitcher doll! As well as a smaller doll of howard, complete with moustache. Vince was'nt there so we figured he had either been brought or not made :O. They were pretty cool though...and on a bigger table next to it boosh badges! We bought for each for our boosh bags...the were all of the 'I <3 _____' persuasion so i bought an 'I <3 howard Moon', an 'I <3 vince Noir', an I <3 boosh' and an 'I ,3 old gregg'.

After our boosh bazzar travels we went back to stage 2(stage one was a lot bigger, but overall i think i prefered stage 2) to watch Rachel Furner until Casiokid was on after. Rachael actually goes to our school in the year above so it was wierd to see her singing at the festival, she was pretty good though. So after Rachel, the loud announcer guy,'chuck',says that stage one was running half an hour late, meaning we couldnt see Go:Audio who were supposed to be on at 9.05 becasue we had to leave AND stage two was going to take an hours break so we could listen to stand-up in the comedy tent. This was'nt so bad as i'm a big stand-up fan so we went and sat RIGHT at the front in the middle. Bad choice. Crowds gathered behind with people standing at the back so we realised that we would'nt be able to leave if we wanted. The comedy was good though, the first guy who introduced the acts was called Simon fielding, which threw me and naat for a bit because some of his stand-up was similar to Noels. The nest guy was alright and came out making jokes about Scotland (he WAS scottish) and the third bought a guitar and sung mini song things. The last two were my favourites, this guy came our with curly hair...looking a little like a taller Jonah Hill, but without the accent, and swiftly took the piss out of half the people in the room, including some heavy metal dude nest to me. This went on for a bit and he did some inprov stuff before deciding to give the tough guy, and his friends, a lapdance. He then proceded over to us, quite obviously young and 15 in the older crowd before holding out a hand and turning back saying, 'yeah i'll stop before I get arrested...'. The LAST guy was the best in my opinion and did a lot on how he hated teenagers and encourages the crowd to agree, making us a BIT nervous :D.

We left the comedy tent feeling laughed up and refreashed before realiseing that on stage two was now the band due on AFTER casiokid which means they either didnt show up or we missed them while in the comedy tent! But we went and watched Sukie who were awesome (And threw out a free Tshirt which we didnt get :() before heading on over to the kids park near the festival and sitting on the little toadstools (I MISS little kiddys parks...it was fun being seven...) till my dd arrived to pick us up.

    Sukie (stage 1)

The music was good quality as were the stalls so i reckon i'll go again next year to see whats changed and what new bands they can get.
